This week, I’ll be sharing the first kiss between Ifeoma and Chuma from the #RomanceNovel, Thorns And Roses.

This scene happened after they returned from a boat ride that Chuma had convinced Ifeoma she needed for relaxation.

They were friends at first, but this kiss may have completely changed the dynamics of their relationship.

She placed a soft kiss on his cheek.

Chuma was startled by the sudden physical contact.

Ifeoma appeared shocked by her own impulsivity.

Slowly, she turned towards him so that they were facing each other. He could see the pulse at the base of her neck pounding. It matched the rapid pounding of his own heart.

She kissed his other cheek and retreated, giving him a nervous smile. Chuma froze, not moving, not trusting himself to move.

Rapid emotions filtered through her large expressive eyes; surprise, fear, panic. And then he saw desire.

Placing her palms on his chest, Ifeoma touched her lips to his. A very soft touch and then retreated again.
